Literary Ladies Book Club: Exposure to a Billionaire

Happy Tuesday guys!

It's Book Club Day - the day we review our book of the month. Welp, turns out I never received my book so I don't have any review for today. So, Instead Ill just go ahead and let you guys link up with my fellow lovely ladies (Kristen and Kari) over on their pages.

I promise if or when I receive it, Ill post my review.

Exposure to a Billionaire

My Bloggy friend wrote a book - and she can write!

Hi guys!

One thing I have always loved about blogging and reading other bloggers was the fact that we are all so creative in our own ways. So many of my blogger friends have written books or they are in the process of writing them (myself included).

Enter my friend Karen who blogs over at RunWright. She just recently published her book of short stories entitled It's Complicated.

Natural Anti-aging skin care solutions

Hi guys!!

I was recently contacted to do a post on natural anti-aging skin care solutions. I don't know about you guys but I jumped right on it because firstly, I wanted to get the solutions myself and secondly, its something I really wanted to share. I wouldn't post something I didn't actually think would be helpful. And really ... who wouldn't want to find natural ways to look younger?

Lately ...

Well I'm a dummy! I thought my girl Kristen's 'what's new with you' linkup happened tomorrow instead of last Thursday - so I missed it. I planned to link up of course so although it's confessions day, let's just pretend it's last Thursday ;)

That paragraph was a doozy ...

My point is - better late than never. Always great to have a 'lately' post right? I'm nosy so I love them!

Book Review: The love that split the world

I've actually wanted to read The love that split the world since it came out earlier this year. It's not my typical read but something drew me to the synopsis.

So when Kari and Kris recommended it as the book for this month I was game. Here are my thoughts:

How I got Pinterest to work for me (without trying)

So let me start off this post by saying I'm no expert blogger (clearly) and I don't assume to know any more about blogging than you do. I also will never presume that what worked for me will work for you. That said, I looked at my Pinterest news feed the other day and noticed that one of my posts has been pinned almost 300 times and some other posts, (like this one, this one and this one), are pinned pretty frequently. While they are by no means 'viral' posts, I think those are pretty good stats for a teensy tiny blog like my own.

The best part is that I honestly wasn't trying.

So I thought why not tell you what worked for me - or what I did on those posts that I didn't do on other posts.

Mini Haul: Makeup and Beauty

Happy Monday guys!

This weekend was a good one. I did work, hung out with OC after he worked on Saturday (he's an auditor at a 'Big Four' accounting firm and works as much or more than I do), visited the parents on Sunday and had date night Sunday night. There are no photos to prove any of this occurred. Not one. Ha!

Anyway, my neighbour and friend Tisha recently scored some beauty items for me on her trip to NYC. I had to share them. They've been items I wanted for some time.

*I apologize for the poor quality of photos
