Friday's Faves!

It's Friday already! I'm pretty stoked about that. Although this was a four day work week for me, Friday is always a good thing. I'll try to ignore the fact that I actually have a meeting at 8:30 am tomorrow morning, (yes on a freaking Saturday), and I'll instead just bask in the fact that its Friday! Anyway on to this week's faves:

Fave Moments:

Thanks to Easter weekend, it was a short work week! For me at least. I know a lot of people had to work on Monday. Thank God I was not one of them!

On top of that, I finished marking all of my papers for the semester! As a grad student, I'm able to tutor in a university as a side gig, and I had to mark mid-terms and coursework. But as of this week, until summer courses start up, I have ZERO papers to mark. I can't lie, I did a little dance when I marked my last one. That's always a good moment!

Fave Book:

It was a long month for me and I didn't get to read nearly as much as I usually do. Still, I managed to read this book on my Kindle!

This story has fascinated me from the very beginning and I just had to read it. I bought her then boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito's book as well. Do I believe her? Well, I think the book is convincing, but nothing surprises me anymore. If I've learned nothing else from being a lawyer, I've learned there are three sides to every story: One side's story, the other side's story and the truth! I like to hear all sides! Whether she's truly guilty or not, its a good book and great read!

Fave Shows:

This one goes to all the Real Housewives shows that aired this week. I mean, Real Housewives of Orange County and New York were good but Atlanta's reunion was epic. Did anyone else see Porsha drag Kenya to the ground by her hair?  If you didn't, it started like this:

... and it ended like this:

I really shouldn't be watching this crap but it is just too entertaining. Sometimes my brain needs to shut off, and watching grown women fighting for God knows what, is just the kind of mindless television I need!

Fave Make-up:

Guaranteed these five products can get me out of the house in record time on a normal, slow day or for work when I don't want or need any extra fuss! They help me look polished but still very natural! Pretty sure this is all I've used all week:

1. L'oreal True match concealer
2. MAC studio fix powder
3. L'oreal voluminous million lashes (blackest black)
4. Jordana eye pencil (black)
(I also have MAC eye pencil but  sometimes the cheap stuff just works)
5. MAC Pro long wear lip gloss (I have several colours)

Fave Food:

I don't really have a favourite food, but last evening I went out with my good girlfriend Alicia for a bite to eat and a drink. We ordered nachos to share. Thank God we ordered to share because neither of us are big eaters and this was the ginormous portion that they served us ... note the lettuce ... this is a healthy meal obviously:

... and these were our drinks:

Fave Funnies:

Fave Song:

Ok, before I share this song, I have to say I hated it when it first came out, particularly because of the video which I still think is creeptastic at best. BUT, my mind changed about the actual song when I played it in my car for the first time. I had to raise the volume and rock out ... just had to! The. beat. is. everything.

Those are my faves for the week! Happy Friday guys :)

  4. Dark horse was totally going to be my song for the week - love it!! I watched the finale and my favorite thing about the fight was that no one even went to Kenya - they all made sure Porshe was OK - I mean that totally shows you what kind of person Kenya is!! Hope you have a great weekend!

  7. Those nachos look so yummy! I have and read that Amanda Knox book! So good. I think she just needs to admit that her and Meredith were roommates, not friends. I haven't seen the RHOA reunion yet. I'll probably catch it this weekend. Based on the promos and your gif it looks awesome. I'm addicted to all the housewives shows!

  10. I've been meaning to pick up her book but my list is so long I always forget about it! I've just bumped it to the top of my list though. And thanks for that nacho picture when I haven't had breakfast yet, now my stomach is screaming at me! :)

  11. OMG those nachos look to die for. I am starving now and man I would tear those up. Also I couldn't believe the ATL reunion. I'm sorry but Kenya had it coming; Bravo should not allowed her to torment Prosha will all of those stupid props. Kenya provoked the hell out of her and everyone has limits. Girl I am with you, I shouldn't be watching it either, but it's just too entertaining, ha. Lucky you for having Monday off; I didn't get Friday or Monday - whomp whomp. Have a great weekend darling.
