Well isn't this awkward ...

I'm going to try to whip this one out in record time because I am 'tyaad' - Trini accent for emphasis. You know things are rough when I break out in dialect. In case you didn't catch that ... I'm exhausted. But I was not about to miss Kathy's Confessions. Oh no sireee, so here I am.
1. I confess that while I'm typing this sentence on this Tuesday night I have no plan for this post or any confessions in my head. I don't know where this post is going to go so brace yourselves because it could be weird and really random because I'm going to leave whatever I type and hit publish  ...

Sidenote: pretty sure this is NOT what Kim is saying but it stays ...

2. ( approx 20 minutes later ...) I confess that I smoke on occasion ... like when I'm stressed (not often ... kinda rarely actually) . It's a nasty little habit. I'm sure it does nothing for my stamina at the gym or anything good for me ... and of course ... the big C. Also I am really turned off by bad breath so this dumb habits makes zero sense. I see the judgement in your eyes!!!  o_O

3. I confess I only wrote the above confession because I stopped to smoke for the first time in a very long time ... I'm not sure why I thought it wise to share this gem stupid habit *there went my followers*. I judge smokers more than you do and I used to swear I would never ever be one ... because its stupid. Save close friends who know my bad habits, no one would ever even think to peg me a smoker. Sooo many people would look like this:

4. I confess that I haven't washed my car in over two weeks. It's deep navy blue with deep tinted windows. I'm sure you can imagine that every speck of dust in my permanently summer time country shows up on that baby. It is what it is. I'm single = car looks dirty more often than not. Unless of course, daddy washes it.

5. I confess that my new tattoo makes me smile and I had all great intentions of posting about it Thursday. However ... its beginning the peeling stage and that stage just is not cute, so I will not be photographing this baby again anytime soon. Since I planned to take nice pics of it for the blog ... I guess that post is going to be delayed. (Yup thought that one up as I slabbed A&E ointment on the tat ....)

6. I confess that I just made the decision that I'm going to take a 'mental health' day because I need a break and stayed up to work late every single night this week! I don't have court so its doable. That ... and the fact that the lady at work that drove me nutters today probably wouldn't want to be around me and my very well deserved attitude. Win win for everyone... and all the stresses just disappeared..

7. I confess I really really want to delete the second and third confessions ... like really. But if nothing else I'm always a lady of my word and I said I'm going to leave what I type so there they shall stay ... whoops.

Well if this wasn't the most  awkwardly random post in the history of Everland...

Have a great Wednesday guys :D

Linking up with Kathy and Liz !

  2. I quit smoking 30 years ago this November. I wouldn't judge you, just tell you it's not worth it. Mental health days are the best. I believe everyone should have those, regularly.

  7. Awkward but good! I too was an occasionally smoker during the first part of college and then would occasionally bum from friends the first year of law school when I was really stressed! My grandfather died a very young and painful death from lung cancer so I totally knew the dangers -- it was just a "fit in" type of thing for me honestly. I would always wake up the next morning with the sorest throat and could never seem to get the smell off my finger tips! Ugh! One I just thought, "This is so stupid" and never bummed again. Now I'm one of "those" people who roll their eyes at smokers in public and ask to be sat at a table far away! ha! Good on you for confessing... but, I really love your pretty face so I vote you kick the habit for good friend! :)

  8. Hah I know what you mean, I'm not missing a confessions link up for anything either. It's a sacred ritual!

    Wow, #1 was so me too. I'm surprised I made it all the way to the end. I can't judge you at all for #2, I was a pack-a-day smoker for a loooooong time. Like way too long. Like I'm embarrassed to tell people how old I was when I had my first cigarette. I finally started the process of cutting back to quit back in December when I started running, and happily haven't bought a pack since February 15, but a lot of my friends still smoke and I bum one here and there. It's the worst time I've ever had trying to break a habit. But better than where I was a year ago, so I count it as huge progress. {sorry, longest comment tangent ever!}
Oh and I never, ever wash my car. Why bother when it's just going to rain anyway? And mine's black and we're in pollen season right now, so it's mostly green. Whatever.
Yay for loving your tattoo. I can't wait to see & hear all about it :)

  10. My confessions are SO random today, so wooohoo random confessions. I don't remember the last time I washed my car. The outside isn't too bad, but the inside seriously needs a vacuuming. SO much dirt. We need to see this new tattoo! Once it's all healthy :).

  11. Can't wait to see the new tattoo. I have one in that same stage now too so I feel ya...not so pretty! Take your day and enjoy yourself. We all need one once in awhile!!!

P.S. I used to be a smoker so I feel ya, no judgement:)

  12. Go with this instinct "I judge smokers more than you do and I used to swear I would never ever be one ... because its stupid" and stop smoking now!! It is so bad for you and such a waste of money! Now, I've have known plenty that smoked (and most have quit) so I'm not terribly judgy but I will tell you, you should quit and all the ways it is stupid :)

  13. Im a smoker... I need to stop like yesterday so no judgement from me!

  15. Enjoy your mental health day! And I used to be a smoker -- every now and then I reallllllly still crave a cig. Can't wait to see your new tat!

    ReplyDelete
  16. So like, tell me about your new tat girl! I really REALLY want another one on my wrist. I just haven't settled 100% on what I want.

Ummm smoking is bad, mmkay? I felt as your friend I needed to tell you that. (because we are totally friends, duh!) No judging though.

You are the second person who has said they are taking a mental health day today. Why did no one call me to do the same?!

  17. only 2 weeks on washing the car- girl that is nothing!!! and smoking, i just always found it gross!

  18. If smoking is the skeleton in your closet, you're pretty much normal hah. Way to be honest - if you lost a follower over that, it's a good thing! I hate when tattoos peel and look all grayish/shiny on top. Can't wait for the reveal! Enjoy your mental health day with a nice focktail ;)

  19. Confessions aren't confessions if they're not things you're annoyed or ashamed by! Mental health days are my favorite. I honestly take them as often as I can. Like, every 3 weeks. It could also have something to do with hating my job...

  20. Take the mini break and enjoy it! I'm jealous!

  21. I'm taking some much needed time off as well- hope you relax and refresh!

  22. Hope you have a great mini break today! Sounds like you could use it :)

  23. my car is in DIRE need of a carwash, she's black and currently so dusty :(

    ReplyDelete
  24. I never wash my car and I park under a tree. It has all kinds of stuff on it but thanks to some heavy rains, it isn't horribly embarrassing right now. Just give it a few more days, though!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Props for honesty! Also I never wash my car....but mine is white so I can get away with it a bit longer!! Also I used to take mental health days...not just for me but everyone else too!!

  26. Anyone who acts like they haven't done something they know is stupid or harmful when they're stressed out - be it having a smoke, eating to the point of illness, or drinking too much - is a liar.

I hope you're having a fabulous mini break today!

  27. I tried smoking to lose weight once but it didnt last. I'm a wimp!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I can't even remember the last time I washed my car! haha
And everyone does stupid shit. I started tanning every once in a while again. I know it's terrible. It is what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hope you get to relax & recharge on your mental health day! I had to take one last week. You just need it sometimes. And no judgement on the smoking. It's been a skeleton in my closet too especially when alcohol is involved!! lol

    ReplyDelete
  30. I don't even know the last time I washed my car. It's supposed to be black but really it's sort of green now because of pollen. And there is dog slobber all over the passenger window. Yet I do not care.

  31. Joey was a smoker. He used to smoke a LOT. He started when he was younger (I think at 18) so it's been a really bad habit for him to kick, but he actually did quit just earlier this year. He was smoking like 3 packs a week until he got one of those vapor things for Christmas. Then he was just using that for a while and by February he didn't need it at all.

And yes to mental health days. I was going to take today off as well because I'm still really sick, I even slept until 8am until I suddenly remembered that the other assistant is off today so I had to be there to cover and assist her bosses. So here I am at work (yes, right now) feeling and looking like crap because I had to rush and didn't have time to put on any makeup at all, and wishing I were still home in my warm bed.

  32. 2 & 3 are me. Well I don't smoke when I'm stressed, but as against smoking as I was/am, I have been known to smoke a cigarette socially...which sadly started within the past year...I'm old enough to know better.

    ReplyDelete
  33. No judgement here. I smoked when I was younger, embarrassingly younger, young enough for illegality :\ I didn't touch the stuff for a majority of college and then got to law school. Just imagine me, 3 years ago, crying outside of my school in the middle of 5th Avenue, chain smoking Newports and screaming about how useless Legal Writing briefs were. Not a pretty picture.

Oh & I confess... I'm stealing all of this gifs to use at a later date. I'm also stealing this post idea for tomorrow. But it's not really stealing if I let you know, is it? :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I chew gum when I'm stressed so I know how you feel! Great confessions dear

    ReplyDelete
  35. No judgements here about the smoking. I did for one year, then quit ... but quite honestly I still want one sometimes. The only thing that stops me from actually doing it is I'd have to go out of my way to buy smokes ... and ain't nobody got time fo dat.
