Hi! I'm Shelby from Recent Somethings. While Kay is away playing in Australia in all its amazing-ness, a lot of us are stuck at home, bracing for cooler temperatures, and inevitably, dry skin. However, fear not, ladies. I've rounded up my favorite products (all under $15!) that will keep the dry skin long-gone come fall.

Chapstick '/ nuff said, plus it's great on small dry patches on your face
St. Ives Face Scrub to battle flaky skin and pesky breakouts at once
Ponds AntiDark Moisturizing Cream is so rich and smells amazing, but leaves your face anything but oily
Equate Facial Cleansing Towelettes gently remove makeup without over drying
St. Ives Deep Restoring Lotion is my go-to for soft, supple skin year-round
Skintimate Skin Therapy Shave Gel
'cause nobody needs smooth but flaky legs
Tan Towels for a little color come the dead of winter (unless you're lucky enough to live in the Caribbean!)
Mr. Pumice
buffs feet and heels to perfection

What are you go-to products for dry skin this time of year? Thanks so much for having me, Kay! Hope you have a wonderful time!

  1. I need to get all of these. I use chapstick and lotion but it just doesn't do enough in the colder months! Hope you're having a ball Kay!

  2. I use the Mr Pumice and love how it works. Tried so many other pumice stones that really didnt do the job. Those tan towels look interesting. Might have to check them out. Do you use them on your face too?

    1. Yes- you definitely can! I'll wash and exfoliate my face, then you can go over your face, getting into the hairline and under your chin and onto your neck/collarbone so it all evens out. Start with a lighter shade first, but I bet you'll be hooked because they're streak-free and so easy to use :)

  3. I have the Apricot scrub and love it. Works so well. I used the Vaseline Cocoa butter a lot too.

  4. I always use that skinmate shaving gel. With cooler days approaching, I need to stock up on all the moisturizing things!
