It’s Friday already! I’m pretty stoked about that. Although this was a four day work week for me, Friday is always a good thing. I’ll try to ignore the fact that I actually have a meeting at 8:30 am tomorrow morning, (yes on a freaking Saturday), and I’ll instead just bask in the fact that its Friday! Anyway on to this week’s faves:
Thanks to Easter weekend, it was a short work week! For me at least. I know a lot of people had to work on Monday. Thank God I was not one of them!
On top of that, I finished marking all of my papers for the semester! As a grad student, I’m able to tutor in a university as a side gig, and I had to mark mid-terms and coursework. But as of this week, until summer courses start up, I have ZERO papers to mark. I can’t lie, I did a little dance when I marked my last one. That’s always a good moment!
It was a long month for me and I didn’t get to read nearly as much as I usually do. Still, I managed to read this book on my Kindle!
This story has fascinated me from the very beginning and I just had to read it. I bought her then boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito’s book as well. Do I believe her? Well, I think the book is convincing, but nothing surprises me anymore. If I’ve learned nothing else from being a lawyer, I’ve learned there are three sides to every story: One side’s story, the other side’s story and the truth! I like to hear all sides! Whether she’s truly guilty or not, its a good book and great read!
This one goes to all the Real Housewives shows that aired this week. I mean, Real Housewives of Orange County and New York were good but Atlanta’s reunion was epic. Did anyone else see Porsha drag Kenya to the ground by her hair? If you didn’t, it started like this:
… and it ended like this:
I really shouldn’t be watching this crap but it is just too entertaining. Sometimes my brain needs to shut off, and watching grown women fighting for God knows what, is just the kind of mindless television I need!
Guaranteed these five products can get me out of the house in record time on a normal, slow day or for work when I don’t want or need any extra fuss! They help me look polished but still very natural! Pretty sure this is all I’ve used all week:
1. L’oreal True match concealer
2. MAC studio fix powder
3. L’oreal voluminous million lashes (blackest black)
4. Jordana eye pencil (black)
(I also have MAC eye pencil but sometimes the cheap stuff just works)
5. MAC Pro long wear lip gloss (I have several colours)
I don’t really have a favourite food, but last evening I went out with my girl Ali for a bite to eat and a drink. We ordered nachos to share. Thank God we ordered to share because neither of us are big eaters and this was the ginormous portion that they served us … note the lettuce … this is a healthy meal obviously:
… and these were our drinks:
Those are my faves for the week! Happy Friday guys 🙂
