If I had to live anywhere else in the world it would be either New York City or London town. I love London and I miss it. I can’t believe that it’s been since 2011 since I’ve last seen it. I don’t usually post on a Sunday, but I woke up this morning and decided to post about London for two reasons, my mum just informed me that we will be taking a trip to England (her brother lives in Essex) and Europe next year and because I wish I was passing through London to get to Australia. I just love the place.
In 2011 when I last visited, it was winter (-5 degrees on the warmest day – aka freakin cold for a Caribbean girl), so the pics are kind of dreary but I’m posting them anyway. Beware of the photo overload! Here are some not so typical things that I love about London …
Whether it be strolling through Trafalgar Square, taking a trip into China Town, visiting a museum or five, or roaming around the West End (theatre geek anyone?), London just has so many interesting places to visit within the city!
And is there a place with more unique sights than London town? Statues that are actually men, Phonebooths that look like they hail from the 18th century…. Sighs, I love this place…
Told you guys I was itty bitty … I was 26 in that pic, I look 12…
I think we can all agree that one of the best things about London (and England and Europe in general), is the majestic architecture all around! The history buff in me just wants to know all about these old buildings that are full of life … old and new.
No explanation needed here, like NYC, London takes on a whole new spirit at night … I wish I took some pics at the pubs but all I have are street pics!
Many will disagree with this one because you know … the pound sterling aint cheap, but man take a trip to Selfridges or any London retail outlet and you will see for yourself … the shopping is good. On my last trip I picked up this beauty …
I know, I know these arent the typical things that people love about London. I didnt post about the royals (who I love btw), I didnt post my pics of Buckingham palace, or Big Ben or any of the normal stuff … I posted the pics of the things I dream of. Next year cannot come soon enough.
