Guys … I think Ive lost my blogging mojo. I am soooo sorry for not reading your posts in over a week, I have been swamped with going back to work and with my masters … and lets not mention the severe case of jet lag that I suffered through. I do think that slowly but surely I am back. I just hope you guys stuck through the absence. I do miss you all!
Anyhoo … on to Australia. I spent four glorious weeks there. Let me just warn you … there will be several posts with several pictures. I have to detail everything from the random stuff with my sister and mum in Newcastle to my uncles home near the vineyards in the Hunter Valley to my cousins wedding and my week in Sydney …..
My sister lives in Newcastle which is about 2 hours from Sydney and so most of my trip was there. She is currently finishing up her PHD at University of Newcastle and so she took us on a driving tour of the University in the first week. We also roamed the gorgeous downtown Newcastle and went to a popular beach in Newcastle called Nobby’s beach. (I actually did a real tour of Newcastle with my mum and that will be a post by itself!)
Forget how terrible I look … I just travelled for 14 hours … look at the cute face that met me at the ariport
And this balloon of course
And the first thing we did when I got there? … hey … I have a 2 year old niece and a 4 year old nephew
The University my sister is doing her PHD at …
A portrait in downtown Newcastle. I just loved it!
This phallic tower …. tell me you didn’t think that …
Stopped for lunch on Darby Street…
Obsessed with the decor… typical me

Crappy iphone pic of the sister and I. Love her! (Good luck at your conference sisssy)
Yummmmmm
Just a few minutes from downtown Newcastle is this beach … I just loved the lighthouse that overlooked the beach and I actually went on a tour of it with my mum one day!
Funny (?) story … these plants and the fence was put in because this was a popular suicide spot. (Sidenote – sister feel free to correct me if I’m wrong :p)
And that is it for now… Stay tuned for more. I have plenty more Oz pics to follow……. including one too many pics of kangaroos… I’m seriously obsessed with the creatures.
Ill be bombarding your inboxes with comments from work today … BEWARE!!
