Whelp its Monday guys, but this week it doesn’t matter because every day is the weekend for me this week since its my BIRTHDAY week!!! Wednesday is the big day and I’m finally excited about it.
Anyhoo, Birthday aside, I’m way too excited about this post because #plannerobsessed. If you don’t like planner posts, don’t want to read about my Erin Condren Life Planner or simply don’t want to get sucked into the planner vortex (and I totally understand if you don’t), back slowly away because there’s about to be an explosion of planner-ness happening in 3… 2… 1….
UPDATE – I’m currently in a Kikki K planner. Check out how I set it up in this post.
A few weeks ago I shared my 2015/2016 Horizontal Erin Condren Life Planner. I should mention that since that post, I’ve received my customized cover, compensation for it being late and for a slight deformity on the cover (a complete 360 in customer service). I’ve been using the planner since July so I thought I’d update on how exactly I use it. I don’t overdecorate my planner because I usually have it on my desk at work so I cant have it toooo cutesy. That said, I do use stickers here and there but they are all functional. My assistant has seen this planner on my desk hundreds of times and hasn’t asked if I’m crazy yet so I’m pretty sure I’m all good.
I use this planner for everything because I simply won’t keep up with more than one planner. So, I use it for work, blog, life, writing and faith stuff. Literally everything goes in here. Lets get on it with …
Monthly view:
I plan blog posts on my monthly view. I use Erin Condren customizable stickers, an extra that I paid for, to plan posts and I use the sidebar for planning goals that I don’t stick to. For those wondering the goal that’s blocked off is a post I keep meaning to write and I don’t want to give it away. I use sticky notes to denote posts I think I may draft for a particular day. The sticky notes work because I never stick to a plan and I can remove them and place them elsewhere if the post doesn’t get drafted.
Weekly view:
For the weekly view, I plan my days and things I need to get done each day, work wise and likewise. I use functional stickers on the weekly view as well. I usually add a quote sticker, my hydrate stickers (because I try to track my water) and the weekend stickers. On the sidebar I try to track what I eat and my exercise (clearly the N/A means this month was a fail exercise wise – le sigh). I also use coil clips if I need to attach something inside the planner. This is August so far:
Notes section:
For my notes section, I have a page for my writing (not pictured) and a page for jottings downs – best way I can put it – both private neither can be pictured but here’s what the notes section looks like anyway!
Budget section:
At the end of the notes pages there is a graph page that I use for budgeting. On the first graph page I glued on a budget sheet that I created myself in Excel.
**Both the notes section and budget are delineated by the ribbon thingies.
The keep it together folder:
There is a keep it together folder at the back of all Erin Condren Life Planners. At the front of the folder I keep paper, bills and random things and at the back I keep stickers.
The Pouch:
The pouch at the back is my catch all – sometimes I keep stickers, other times I keep papers and random things…
Notepad:
Though this makes the planner just a tad bulky, I’ve added the personalized notebook at the back of the planner – because one cannot have too many notebooks. There are two adhesive blocks at the back to attach it to the covers.
Finally, recently I ordered an extra cover and some coil clips to clip more random stuff into the planner because why not. Here’s the extra cover:
And there you have it, how I use my horizontal Erin Condren Life Planner – in pictures. Its not too cutesy, still somewhat professional (or not at all). Whetever it is, it works for me. One more picture just because I haven’t bombarded you with enough photos in this one post:
