Recipe: Shepherd’s Pie

Hi guys, it’s Wednesday and I decided to show up and post a recipe. One, because the recipe was good, and two, because I made it weeks ago and I think its time to post it! I promise its a good one!

Shepherd's pie recipe

Now, I’ve said it before, I cook from my head – I didn’t follow a recipe for this, I know the basic concept and I winged it and did my own thing and wrote down what I did as I went along.Don’t be surprised if this is different from your usual Shepherd’s Pie and while there may be a much simpler version out there, it might not be as tasty 😉

Ingredients:

10 potatoes (peeled)

1 tsp Black pepper

Salt (to taste)

3 tbsp Butter

1 cup cheddar Cheese

1 pack Minced beef

1/4 cup milk

Preggo (I cannot give a measurement for this)

1/2 Onion

Half cup corn

Bread crumbs (or crackers in a magic bullet … like me)

What you do:

Preheat oven to … I would totally add in a temperature here but I totally wing this…

For the meat:

Brown meat (drain excess liquid if necessary)

Add salt and pepper

Add Prego, Grated carrots, onions and corn

For the potatoes:

Peel potatoes and boil till soft

Mash potatoes

Add 1/2 cup cheddar cheese

Add milk

Mix

If you want a three layer pie like I did,  place half the potatoes at the base of your baking dish (if not skip this step)

Place a layer of meat over your potato

Now Layer your other half of potatoes

Add cheddar cheese to the top of you pie

Top with bread crumbs (or crackers that you minced in the magic bullet)

Place in oven for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown on top

Enjoy!!

Have a great Wednesday guys!!
